Community supported great education.

Birchwood School District: a small town with small schools in an underfunded, sparsely populated rural setting.  

One big goal: create an education for every learner on par with larger, better-funded, easy-access urban schools.  

One great idea: a volunteer foundation dedicated to education, community, and philanthropy.  Raise funds to provide enriching educational opportunities that leverage the very landscape, industry, and community that defines the school system.

Underfunded? We say Community Supported Great Education!

Our volunteer foundation board is made up of community members, parents, 

the superintendent plus non-voting teacher and student representatives.
